Too often, the orgs doing the hardest work in their communities have the least access to support.
That’s why I created the Work In Common Fund.
It’s an optional add-on that funds creative support for community orgs, giving them space and tools to focus on their work.
It’s called Work in Common because we’re all connected. When you contribute to the fund, your investment extends beyond your project into the communities fighting for a better future.
Are you a community organization seeking support?
How it works
When you opt into the Work In Common Fund, your contribution helps provide strategy, messaging, and design support for community organizations.
Each project looks different, but the purpose is the same—community organizations deserve professional support, and your contribution makes that possible.
Here’s what that looks like in practice:
You can opt in when we start your project or before you pay your invoice.
You choose how much to contribute — either a flat amount or a percentage of your project fee.
I add that amount to your invoice, and the funds go toward supporting a community organization.
After a project wraps, I’ll share updates so you can see what your contribution helped make possible.
Who this fund is for
The Work In Common Fund supports the people and organizations most impacted by today’s political and social attacks, those working to build safety, belonging, and justice in their communities.
The fund prioritizes organizations that are:
Led by directly impacted people: Queer and trans leaders, people of color, immigrants, and disabled organizers
Small or volunteer-run: Often working with limited budgets while sustaining essential community care
Deeply rooted in their communities: Guided by lived experience, accountable to their people, and committed to care, equity, and safety in practice
